The Snoqualmie Gaming Commission has the authority and responsibility to regulate Gaming Activities within the Tribe's Indian Lands. This authority includes the power to regulate the Gaming Operations, Gaming Facility, and to license all persons subject to the Commissions' licensing authority under the Tribe's Gaming Act and Regulations. The Commission ensures that all Gaming Activities conducted within the Tribe's Indian Lands comply with applicable Tribal, State, and Federal laws.


  • Read, interpret, implement, and disseminate gaming laws and regulations consistent with the Gaming Act. Uphold and ensure the Commissions' has the power, duty, and responsibility to carry out the Tribe's regulatory requirements under applicable law, enforce such requirements, protect the integrity of gaming activities, and prevent the appearance of impropriety.
  • Establish the overall direction of the agency, review the goals and strategic plan, and inform Commission staff of the goals and initiatives to be achieved.
  • Appoint, supervise, and evaluate the Executive Director of the Commission.
  • Monitor commission departments such as administration, licensing, internal audit and gaming agents.
  • Review and prepare the agency's annual budget for Tribal Council approval.
  • Publicize regulations that implement, interpret, and otherwise further the Gaming Act. Provide direction and guidance on amending internal controls.
  • Review and approve SGC administrative policies and procedures. Authorize and review agency inspections, investigations, and audits. Evaluate results and determine the need for further action.
  • Review daily incident reports and daily log reports. Review all internal audit reports and provide feedback and direction on the audit results presented.
  • Review licensing activity, statistics, and investigations affecting a licensee's suitability for licensure. Hold formal hearings and take action as appropriate.
  • Issue facility license to the gaming operation upon review of facility inspection reports and audits pertaining to environmental health and public safety.  
  • Prepare for and attend meetings with the Tribal Council, SGC, and others as directed.
  • Develop necessary documentation and protocols. Establish joint cooperative working relationships with federal, state, and local jurisdictions as necessary and appropriate to ensure effective regulation of the Tribe's gaming activities.
  • Act with the Commission as an appellate body for Commission employee grievances, employee and vendor license issues, and patron disputes.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure agency staff follow all SGC ethics regulations and safety rules and regulations.
  • Pursue appropriate professional development activities to maintain a high level of proficiency and working knowledge of the gaming industry.

  •  Must be an enrolled Snoqualmie Indian Tribe Member.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
  • Current and valid driver's license in state of residency.
  • Demonstrated professional experience with oversight and monitoring of regulated operations. Demonstrated understanding of the gaming licensing process.
  • Must possess sensitivity to Native American culture.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
  • Excellent customer service skills and written and verbal communication. Demonstrated ability to communicate with guests, coworkers, state representatives, federal representatives, and the Casino's entire workforce in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and accurate reports such as formal hearing decisions and orders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Must pass background check.
