POSITION SUMMARY

Lead and direct the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe's Health and Wellness Department. Provide leadership and management oversight for the Snoqualmie Tribal Family Clinic, Raging River Recovery Center, Snoqualmie Behavioral Health, and related department operations and personnel. The position is responsible for budget management, reporting, grant and contract management, licensing, personnel, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This is an exempt position that reports to the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe General Manager or its designee.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead, supervise, and assess multi-disciplinary Health and Wellness department programs, operations, and personnel. Lead short- and long-term planning efforts, policy development, and marketing strategies.
  • Hire and supervise health care providers, program managers, and staff. Conduct performance evaluations. Ensure staff training, development, and accountability.
  • Provide management oversight of a primary care medical clinic, behavioral health and drug/alcohol rehabilitation programs, community and social health programs, and related programs. Ensure coordination of care for shared clients and program development. Serve as a resource for Health and Wellness staff as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate Health and Wellness program grants and contracts. Ensure grant and contract compliance. Identify and pursue grant and contract opportunities. Review contract renewals and applications.
  • Develop and manage assigned budgets. Forecast revenues and expenditures. Approve contracts, purchase requisitions, timesheets, and personnel changes within delegated authority. Recommend or take appropriate corrective action.
  • Analyze department operational and patient demographic data. Prepare and maintain reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Interpret, counsel, and implement organizational policies and procedures. Draft policies and procedures for approval.
  • Perform quality assessments to ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards. Manage program planning and interagency coordination as needed.
  • Attend Tribal Council, Tribal Management, and Health Board meetings. Represent the Health and Wellness program to the community.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with Tribal leadership, Tribal staff, clients, and representatives from local, state, and federal agencies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a health care related field required; Master's degree in public health, health care administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years related experience in health and human service field required, preferably in Tribal Programs.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Extensive experience in a multi-disciplinary healthcare management environment preferred.
  • Must be able to pass random and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must pass background check.
