Seven (7) positions currently available.


Provide customer service and sales assistance to fireworks stand customers. Perform a variety of duties inherent to retail sales of fireworks and related products. Customer service, accurate sales register duties, and safety are the main focus of this position. This is an hourly non-exempt position that reports to the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor.


  • Must attend mandatory orientation (date to be determined).
  • Assist customers in locating, selecting and purchasing fireworks and related products. Develop product knowledge of the fireworks inventory and convey relevant information to the customers.
  • Serve as cashier, check cash register receipts, and ensure accurate cash register operations. Maintain daily shift accountability of all monies, credit, debit and voids/refunds, house charges.
  • Comply with proper paperwork procedures and cash over/short policies.
  • Arrange merchandise on shelves and displays. Undertake stocking and inventory duties as necessary and as directed.
  • Adhere to established work schedule. Consistently arrive at work and on time; arrive at meetings and appointments on time.
  • Complete daily checklist items.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
  • Observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
  • Assist co-workers with fireworks stand organization and cleaning. Pick up and properly dispose of garbage and debris.
  • Additional hours and duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of eighth grade education required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Age 16 years or older required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals required.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and use sharp knives, box cutters, and similar tools required.
  • Experience in retail sales, customer service, and cashiering strongly desired.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written information and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Must be able to pass random and pre-employment drug screening, including for marijuana.
  • Must pass background check.

Additional Information

  • Pay is $15.00 per hour.
  • Seven (7) positions currently available. These are temporary, hourly non-exempt positions scheduled to work 6/27/18 to 7/05/18.
