Supervise and evaluate Commission Licensing Agents.  Responsible for accurately and thoroughly managing the SGC Licensing department in accordance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, NIGC Regulations, the Tribal/State Compact, and the Snoqualmie Tribal Gaming Act and Regulations. Plans, coordinates and directs the investigations and documentation standards in accordance with SGC policy.


  • Responsible for the overall monitoring of licensing standards in accordance with SGC, WSGC, and NIGC requirements.
  • Develops and implements quality assurance programs to ensure an effective and efficient licensing function.
  • Evaluates policies, procedures and practices for accomplishing licensing objectives.
  • Oversees all licensing activities including fingerprinting and background investigations of all license applicants, vendor license applicants and
  • certification of employees and vendors including the renewal process.
  • Recommends denial, suspension, revocation and conditioning of licenses for individuals with unresolved or unfavorable background information.
  • Determines a need to meet with applicants regarding criminal background and/or other application issues, assist and direct in the resolution.
  • Participates in appeal hearings; prepares and presents exhibits as documentation for license suspensions; investigates violations of the Tribal/State Compact, NIGC Regulations and Snoqualmie Tribal Gaming Act.
  • Directly oversees, coordinates and supervises activities of licensing investigations for all employees, vendors and persons providing gaming services.
  • Acts as the SGC liaison for communication with federal, state and local agencies in regard to licensing issues.
  • Develops and/or revises forms necessary for the operation of the licensing process and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains a database on all employees and vendor licensing applicants and related information.
  • Ensures the licensing agents fulfill their duties as outlined in their job descriptions.
  • Responsible for the evaluation and the professional development of licensing staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, or related field. Six (6) years of comparable experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • minimum of two (2) years working in a licensing capacity within the gaming industry or comparable experience required. 
  • Operational knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
