POSITION SUMMARY

Provide non-emergency medical transportation services for Snoqualmie Tribal members and Medicaid eligible community clients in support of the Snoqualmie Tribe's health and human services programs. Operate small and large vehicles to ensure safe and timely transportation of passengers in a professional and courteous manner. Position requires a flexible work schedule to meet the various transportation need of program clients. This is an hourly position that reports to the CHR Transport Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide safe and timely transportation support for Snoqualmie health and human services program clients, Snoqualmie Tribal members and others who are Medicaid eligible, under the direction of the CHR Manager.
  • Maintain all current standards of documentation, for travel, mileage, expenditures, and related reporting requirements, within specific deadlines.
  • Assist in program planning, transportation reporting, maintaining logs and Medicaid outreach and referral and/or interagency coordination related to Medicaid and non-Medicaid covered services.
  • Must be present, respectful, and participate in various Snoqualmie Indian Tribe culture events, trainings, and ceremonies. Work closely with parents, staff, and communities to help build healthy and positive relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate with tact and discretion.
  • Participate in Health and Wellness programs staff meetings and trainings as appropriate. Participate in continuing education activities as required and/or needed to fulfill job duties.
  • Work in a semi-structured work week, allowing flexibility for evening and weekend work as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 23 years or older required.
  • Seven or more years of driving experience required.
  • Valid and unrestricted Washington State driver's license required.
  • Must have a qualified driving record.
  • Current CPR/AED Training Certification and TB immunization.
  • Experience working in Native communities with families and parents strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Native cultures, history, traditions, and healing ceremonies strongly preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations in a courteous, helpful, and clearly understood manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Upon hire, successfully complete and pass defensive driving, fire suppression, passenger assistance, HIPPA, cultural sensitivity, and child safety seat securement trainings.
  • Current CPR/AED Training Certification and TB immunization.
  • Able to complete CHR training within (90) days.
  • Must be able to pass random and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must pass background check.
